Mike Garst, who is tied for 10th in the StC in saves with 15, pitched well, but the Walnut Park Bobcats still fell short, losing, 4-3, to the Orono Oaks at Ballpark of Walnut Park. Jeremy Reich picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 9-2. Joe Petersen sewed up the save, his 4th.
Right Fielder Julio Negron made an impact for Orono, when he swatted a 2-run home run off Mike Garst in the top of the fourth. For the contest, Negron went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Walnut Park manager Perry Glickman said, following the tough loss.
Orono is rocking and rolling at 89-41.
