The Ann Arbor Z's earned a close win over the Fremont Marshalls, thanks in part to Jeremy Schroeter. The Ann Arbor left-hander, who is tied for 8th in the StC in complete games with 1, played a key role in the 3-1 victory. Schroeter yielded 1 run over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 9-7. Brian Finkel was called on to finish, recording his 17th save.
Jamie Halliday aided the Ann Arbor cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman was 1-3 with a double.
Halliday called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
