Aces Trip Z's, 8-1, in Extra Innings
|
Ann Arbor got a terrific performance from pitcher Joe Bernard, but it wasn't enough to beat the Quebec Aces. Quebec won the Knights Ballpark contest, 8-1. Bernard threw 7.2 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. With the win, the Aces improved to 60-67.
Jeff Coleman drew 1 walk against the Z's. With the game tied in the top of the 11th inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Quebec in front, 2-1.
"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Bryan Gallegos.
