The 6-3 Spokane win over Quebec was due in large part to Ricky Plascencia. The Selects designated hitter went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Rich Mack, the winner, goes to 8-4. He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts over 7.2 innings. With the victory, the Selects upped their record to 70-58.

Plascencia made an early impact for Spokane when he stroked his 10th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came in the bottom of the second, put the Selects on top, 5-2.

Spokane manager Chris McLure was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
