Quebec Loses, 3-2, to Spokane in 15
|
The Spokane Selects found a way to sneak past the Quebec Fighting Quakers, 3-2, in 15 innings. Spokane pitcher Danny Cusack, for one, had a standout performance. The third-place Selects hiked their record to 69-58.
The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 15th for Spokane. That's when 24-year old second baseman Glen Eastman hit a solo home run off Ross Lefkowitz to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.
"Danny can overpower you," said Spokane manager Chris McLure.
