The New Rochelle Purple Wave went down to defeat to Ricardo Martinez and his Hickory teammates. The final score was 4-1, in favor of the Crawdads. The Crawdads win now puts them at 78-51.

In the bottom of the seventh, Hickory second baseman Danny Lebron hit a run-scoring single to right field. The clutch hit made it 2-1, Crawdads.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Martinez.
