The Spokane Selects handed the Denver Pilots a 4-3 loss in 12 innings at Selects Ballpark. Lee Muza was the star on offense. He went 2 for 5 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Spokane is second in the Stripes Conference West Division with a record of 70-55.

Batting in the bottom of the 12th, 22-year old first baseman Ryan Anderson had a real shot to win the game. Denver pitcher Chris Anderson was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Anderson hit a run-scoring single. The Selects had a walk-off triumph.

Anderson called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
