Crawdads Deal Selects 1-0 Loss
|
The Spokane Selects wasted an impressive 8-inning effort from starter Aaron O'Brien, falling, 1-0, to the Hickory Crawdads in 10 innings at Crawdad Park. Dan Mills picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Tyler Doss suffered the loss. Hickory occupies second place in the Stripes Conference West Division at 76-49.
The Crawdads relied on right fielder Nate Roberts for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Ray Sanchez, the Hickory manager.
