Randolph got a first-rate effort from pitcher Ricardo Rincon, who frustrated Walnut Park hitters en route to a 3-1 Prairie Thunder triumph at Ballpark of Walnut Park. In 5.1 innings, Rincon surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run. Brad Antol earned the save for Randolph, his 16th of the year.
In the top of the first, Robbie Morales ambushed a 1-2 splitter from Antonio Alvarez and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Randolph a quick 2-0 lead.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Morales.
The Prairie Thunder, at 60-65, sit in 5th place in the Stripes Conference East Division.
