Crawdads Rally Late to Nip Oaks
The Hickory Crawdads picked up a win at Crawdad Park, taking down the Orono Oaks, 3-2. Starting pitcher Jonathan Brey was a big reason why. Carlos Pardo came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-0. Hickory has rattled off 4 straight wins.

The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the 13th when Chris Beasley hit a solo home run off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Nick Calvache to win the game for Hickory. The home crowd went wild.

"The crowd was juiced," said Brey.
