Aces Win Nail-Biter
The Quebec Aces and the Palm Springs Heat played into extra innings before the winner was determined. The Aces won it, 7-6, in 10 innings. In the game, Quebec designated hitter Justin Dawson was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Kyle Thompson got credit for the win, improving to 3-4. He allowed 3 runs on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. Jonathan Harvey got credit for the save for Quebec. It was his 1st of the year.

Quebec used the timely hitting of Dave Poth to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Aces on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Poth told the Quebec Today. "You win just by scoring more runs."

The Aces, at 69-55, have now won 4 straight.
