The New Rochelle Purple Wave bested the Orono Oaks, 15-5, at University of Maine Stadium. Tyler Lake was one of the standouts. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 times and drove in 5. Brian Breen was the winner. He's now 4-0. The loser was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Josh Shropshire. New Rochelle is now 68-56, while Orono is 74-50.

Lake had a key at-bat for New Rochelle in the top of the second. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 23rd double of the season and gave New Rochelle an early 2-0 lead.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Purple Wave manager William Gregg.
