The Quebec Aces, despite a fine performance by Dillonvale pitcher Jesus Garcia, grabbed a 3-1 win at Black Diamonds Ballpark. Garcia allowed 1 run over 5 innings. Reliever Jeremy Dawson picked up the win. His record improves to 1-2. Stephen Keene took the loss. With the win, Quebec goes to 56-65, while the Indians fall to 34-87.

Cesar Pereira had a direct impact on the outcome. Pereira contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Quebec up, 3-1.

"Makes our job easier," said Pereira, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
