In a low-scoring affair between the Spokane Selects and the Westwood Bruins, pitcher Morgan Jenkins was the difference between victory and defeat. The Spokane right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Selects win. Tyler Doss earned the save for Spokane, his 19th. The win gives Spokane a season record of 66-55.
Spokane used the hitting of Lee Muza to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Selects on top, 3-0. For the game, Muza had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Muza. "And not try to do too much."
