The New Rochelle Purple Wave overcame a pretty good performance by Walnut Park first baseman Angelo Mejia, beating the Bobcats, 6-5, at Ballpark of Lexington. Mejia slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The Purple Wave raised their record to 66-56.

The Purple Wave were down to their final out when second baseman Alex Natera turned a first pitch changeup from Earl Gomez into a 2-run single. The walk-off single made the Ballpark of Lexington crowd go wild.

Natera told the New Rochelle Daily: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
