There was no shortage of dramatics at Hedgehogs Ballpark.

Marshalls left fielder John Piscitelli put his stamp on his team's 6-5 win over the Hickory Crawdads. Piscitelli was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for Fremont in the contest. The win went to Dave Hernandez in relief, making him now 6-1. Nate Briceno took the loss for Hickory.

Fremont got a clutch hit from Mike Townsend. The third baseman launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Townsend said.

Fremont goes to 76-43. The win puts them 5½ games up in their division.
