Quebec Fighting Quakers starter Chris Huyard hurled his team past the Dillonvale Indians, 5-1. Huyard picked up the win for Quebec, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 9-7. Quebec is now 59-57, while Dillonvale is 31-85.
Elijah Walker had a big bases-clearing triple for the Fighting Quakers in the top of the fourth inning. With Quebec leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 27-year old left-handed pitcher Braden Shaw and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Fighting Quakers ahead, 4-0.
"Chris did a tremendous job," said Quebec manager Jeff Gray.
