At Ballpark of Walnut Park, the Walnut Park Bobcats and Denver Pilots were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Denver Pilots powered past the Walnut Park Bobcats, 9-7, at Ballpark of Walnut Park. Dillon Rodriquez provided some of the pop. He went 2 for 3 with a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Danny Pena earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record is now 6-0. Juan Santana earned his 3rd save in 4 chances.

With Denver trailing 7-6 in the top of the fifth, Rodriquez hit a cutter from Ryan Larkins for a 2-run double. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Pilots ahead, 8-7.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Rodriquez.

Today's win puts Denver at 58-59, while Walnut Park falls to 63-54.
