The Walnut Park Bobcats battled the Denver Pilots into extra innings before the outcome was decided. The Bobcats won it, finally, 7-6, in 13 innings. In the game, Walnut Park center fielder D'Andre Lyons was 3 for 7 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 times. Walnut Park pitcher Tommy Swift got the win, upping his record to 6-5. Billy Merner got the loss. The triumph puts Walnut Park at 63-53 for the season.

The game reached a climactic end in the bottom of the 13th. With Walnut Park trailing 6-5, Phil Williams delivered the decisive blow, stroking a fastball from Billy Merner for a 2-run double. Ballgame.
