Indians Suffer 6-0 Setback
|
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Dillonvale Indians take on the Denver Pilots.
Tom Rise brought his A-game to help Denver defeat the Dillonvale Indians, 6-0. Rise picked up the win for Denver, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 9-8.
Denver used the hitting of Bill Brown to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Pilots on top, 1-0. For the game, Brown had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Rise.
Denver goes to 51-62, Dillonvale to 24-89.
