Hickory pitcher Frank Sarabia had a large part in his team subduing the Dillonvale Indians, 5-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Hickory, at 65-44, occupies second place in the Stripes Conference West Division.

Hickory used a clutch at-bat from Mike Hankins to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Crawdads ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I like our moxie," said Crawdads manager Ray Sanchez.
