Drooping Pilots Lose 7th Straight
Matt Strader led Ann Arbor to a win over Denver. The final score was 7-6. The left fielder had a huge performance. He whacked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Sean Finch picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 6-4. Gregorio Argueta suffered the loss. Earning his 8th save of the year was Salvatore Barajas.

Had Sam Berger not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Berger hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Z's.

"No one likes losing," said Denver manager Byung-sik Lee. "But we'll turn this thing around."
