The Tucson Raccoons had to overcome a good performance from Randolph pitcher Ricardo Rincon to claim a 3-2 win at Raccoons Ballpark. Rincon went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Victor Luna notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record now sits at 4-6. Randolph now owns a losing streak of 5 games.
Carlos Miranda, who is tied for 4th in the StC in RBI with 60, chipped in a 2-run home run for Tucson in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"This was a tough loss," said Randolph manager Michael Kelleher. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
