With catcher Frank Radtke leading the charge, the Ann Arbor Z's defeated the Denver Pilots, 6-4, at Pilots Ballpark. Radtke went 2 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Z's improved their record to 43-67 by beating Denver.

In the top of the eighth, with the game tied, the Pilots allowed the Z's to take a 5-4 lead on a base hit and Denver error.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Radtke told the Ann Arbor Gazette.
