The Quebec Aces picked up a win at Belmont Park, knocking off the Ann Arbor Z's, 2-1. Starting pitcher Brent Stedronsky played a key role in the triumph. Jeremy Dawson, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Quebec raised its record to 56-50 with the win.

The decisive blow was delivered by Pete Horne in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 25-year old right-handed pitcher Jon Gunter to win the game for Quebec. The home crowd went nuts.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Horne.
