The 5-4 Hickory win over Westwood was due largely to Isaiah Goulbourne. The Crawdads center fielder went 3-4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times. With the win, Hickory raised its record to 64-44.

Hickory used the timely hitting of Jeremy Comey to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Crawdads on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We found a way to get it done," Goulbourne said.
