Fighting Quakers Absorb 5-3 Home Loss
The Ann Arbor Z's faced a tough opponent in Quebec pitcher Victor Herrera, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Toros Ballpark by a final score of 5-3. Herrera went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Ann Arbor reliever Josh Sanders picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Sean Rowe absorbed the loss. Josh Kuhn earned the save, his 10th in 13 tries.

Ann Arbor used a timely hit from Nick Rucker to get the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Z's ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Ann Arbor manager Brock Fullington.

The Z's have now won 5 straight.
