The exploits of shortstop Rocky Ruschak, who is tied for 2nd in the StC in triples with 6, helped the Ann Arbor Z's defeat the Walnut Park Bobcats, 8-2. Ruschak was 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs. Jeremy Schroeter picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-6. He struck out 3 in 5 innings. The Z's now own a record of 50-58.

In the top of the seventh, Ionut Irimia stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Bobcats were trailing 5-2, but had the bases loaded. That's when Francisco Macias made a terrific pitch and Irimia struck out. Gone was the dream of a Walnut Park comeback.
