Bobcats Prevail, 3-1, Over Quebec
|
Kyle Sandor pitched a gem to lead Walnut Park to victory over the Quebec Fighting Quakers, 3-1. The winner was Sandor. He threw 6.1 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Chris Huyard. Walnut Park goes to 58-48, Quebec to 55-51.
The Bobcats got a big at-bat from third baseman Alex Ochoa. For the game, Ochoa went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Walnut Park a 2-0 lead.
Walnut Park manager Perry Glickman called it "a pretty good win."
