Randolph and Quebec got after it at Toros Ballpark.

Though he had a stellar game, Victor Ramirez could not prevent his team, the Quebec Fighting Quakers, from losing, 9-5, to the Randolph Prairie Thunder. Ramirez went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Prairie Thunder go to 52-53, putting them 5th in the Stripes Conference East Division.

Randolph needed the clutch hitting of Sergio Portillo to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Prairie Thunder on top, 7-5. For the game, Portillo had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Portillo.
