Crawdads Get One-Run Win at Spokane
The Hickory Crawdads eked out a 3-2 win versus the Spokane Selects at Selects Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Dustin Patton. He was terrific. Patton got the win, improving to 8-5. He gave up 5 hits and walked 0 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Picking up his 18th save was 24-year old left-handed pitcher Shane Kidd.

Hickory took advantage of an error in the top of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Chris Boyd hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Crawdads in front, 3-2.

"If you chase it, you need to get it," said Hickory skipper Ray Sanchez.

The Crawdads have a one-game lead in the Stripes Conference West Division.
