Getting offensive support from Chris Charney, the Syracuse Scorpions topped the Toronto Trash Pandas, 9-8. Charney went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Scorpions. Reliever Mike Kelley picked up the win. His record improves to 1-4. Travis Williams, the 14th overall pick in the 2021 draft, took the loss. Syracuse, with the win, climbs to 21-55.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Syracuse trailing 8-7, Charney hit a fastball from Travis Williams for a 2-run home run, giving the Scorpions the walk-off win.

"I know we have our doubters," said Toronto manager Walt DeRosier. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
