Gangsters Win Squeaker, 6-5, Over Royals
|
Cincinnati first baseman Aaron Jalbert had a good game, even if his team did not. The Royals dropped a 6-5 decision to Chicago at The Hideout. Jalbert was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Chicago reliever Braden Shaw picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Casey Abbott took the loss. Keith Kramer wrapped it up, recording his 9th save.
With a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning, pinch hitter Brandon Titus delivered big for the Gangsters. Chicago was trailing 5-3 when he belted a 2-run home run.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Chicago manager Antonio Valdez.
The Gangsters now own a record of 33-42.
