The exploits of right fielder Jody Stack helped the Lake Elsinore Storm defeat the Nashua Sweepers, 4-2. Stack was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. Picking up the save was Bob Paterson, his 2nd. Yes, it was a win for Lake Elsinore; but their 33-107 record is still nothing to boast about.
With one out in the bottom of the eighth, Jamie Hickey had a game-changing hit. The Storm shortstop slammed a 2-run single off Carlos Palmas, making the score 4-1, Lake Elsinore.
