Behind a solid performance from first baseman Oscar de Leon, the Dollywood Partons defeated the Pueblo Heroes, 5-3. de Leon went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Partons. Gregg Daugherty closed it out for his 16th save. Dollywood goes to 105-34. The win puts them 30 games up in their division.
In the first inning, de Leon had a 2-run home run for Dollywood. It was his 22nd home run of the season and put the Partons on top, 2-0.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said de Leon. "You've got to get results."
