Pat Fortney pitched well, but the Pueblo Heroes still lost the game, falling, 4-2, to the Dollywood Partons at Heroes Ballpark. Jonathan Powell sewed up the save, his 3rd. The first-place Partons lifted their record to 104-34.

Dollywood designated hitter Colby Freese landed a blow when he belted a 2-run home run in the top of the third. It was his 33rd home run of the season. With it, the Partons took a 4-0 lead.

Pueblo manager Jeremiah Simpson said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
