Mexico City Offense Goes Belly-Up Versus Matthews, Admirals
|
In a tight affair between the Barrie Admirals and the Mexico City Aztecs, pitcher Marty Matthews was in the zone. The Barrie right-hander helped his team win the game, 3-0. The Admirals sport a record of 94-46.
Matthews was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 11-6. In 8 innings of work, Matthews gave up no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 9. The Aztecs were never able to generate much offense.
