Getting offensive support from Eric Milbrandt, the Atlanta Aggies topped the Poplar Bluff Hillbillies, 8-1. Milbrandt was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Aggies. The winner was Dennis Gronewold in relief. His record improves to 3-6. Jose Sanches took the loss. Jim Unknown earned his 1st save in 1 chances.

With Atlanta leading 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Milbrandt hit a fastball from Jose Sanches for a 3-run home run. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Aggies ahead, 5-1.
