The Kalamazoo Comets defeated the Barrie Admirals, 9-3. Doing his part was designated hitter Adrian Moore, who went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Jeremy Adams, the winning pitcher, is now 4-7. He went 7.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits, while fanning 2 and walking 3. The victory puts Kalamazoo at 48-88.
Moore contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Kalamazoo in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Moore took a splitter from Tommy Daniello and stroked the home run to right-center. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Comets to leap in front, 4-2.
"Feels good to get the job done," Moore said after the game.
