Borich goes 4-for-5 as Bowsers Squeeze Past White Deer
Columbus beat White Deer in a rain-soaked ballgame.

The Columbus Bowsers topped the White Deer Tropics, 7-6, with shortstop Jim Borich playing a big role. Borich went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs for the Bowsers in the win. Joey Byler earned the save for Columbus, his 22nd of the year.

In the bottom of the third, Omari Baker delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Columbus left fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Bowsers in front, 7-6.

Baker told the Columbus Times: "I was born for the big stage."

The Columbus win streak is now 3 games.
