Tropics Get Plucky, 3-2 Win Over Keys
|
White Deer starter Marco Canas pitched well against the Long Beach Keys at Ballpark of White Deer. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2, in 10 innings. Javier Torres earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record is now 4-2. The victory gives White Deer a record of 68-67.
The decisive blow was delivered by Ben Riffe in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 21-year old left-handed pitcher Chris Allen to win the game for White Deer. The home crowd went nuts.
