Sweepers Fall to .500 After 6-3 Loss to Bowsers
The Columbus Bowsers topped the Louisville Sweepers, 6-3, in Southern A action at Ballpark of Columbus. The game was highlighted by the performance of Columbus pitcher Rodolfo Hernandez. The winner was Hernandez. He threw 6.2 innings allowing 3 runs. The loser was Ricky Davila. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Columbus.

Columbus second baseman John Fitz contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 8th hit of the season and put the Bowsers ahead, 6-3.

Columbus manager Joe Mills attributed the win to "a little bit of this and a little bit of that."
