Comets Lick Sweepers, 5-2
|
Kalamazoo Comets starter Jim Unknown was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Louisville Sweepers, 5-2. The 5th-place Comets have won 4 straight.
Kalamazoo used a well-timed hit by Cameron Stubbs to capture the win. The first baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the second inning to put the Comets ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.
"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Unknown.
