The Pueblo Heroes got a sterling performance from pitcher Bobby Lucero, but the Bangor Lumberjacks still prevailed, 3-2. Lucero threw 5.1 innings allowing 2 runs. Bangor reliever Mike Lopez was credited with the win. His record goes to 3-5. John Elliott took the loss for Pueblo. George Harris earned the save, his 8th, for the Lumberjacks.

Bangor second baseman Brian Loepp helped the Lumberjacks go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Loepp hit a run-scoring single off Pueblo pitcher John Elliott.

Loepp called it "a solid win."

The win puts the Lumberjacks at 56-79, while the Heroes drop to 91-44.
