The Lake Elsinore Storm earned a close win over the Poplar Bluff Hillbillies, thanks in part to Tony Contreras. The Lake Elsinore right-hander played a key role in the 3-2 victory. The Storm go to 33-100 with the win.

Lake Elsinore got a critical at-bat from Sam Woodall. The second baseman stroked a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was huge.

"This place was rocking at the end," Woodall said.
