Werewolves Suffer 2-1 Home Defeat
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Mexico City Aztecs and the London Werewolves, pitcher Adam Brittain was the difference between victory and defeat. The Mexico City right-hander earned kudos in the 2-1 Aztecs win. The victory gives the Aztecs a record of 99-33.
The Aztecs got a big at-bat from designated hitter Steve Farnsworth. For the game, Farnsworth was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times. In the top of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Mexico City a 1-0 lead.
"Not enough offensively in a winnable game," said losing manager Adrian Mercado.
