Lumberjacks Handle Nashua, Snag 3-1 Win
|
Behind an impressive start by Will Clark, Bangor beat Nashua, 3-1. Picking up his 7th save was 23-year old right-handed pitcher George Harris. Bangor is now 54-75. Nashua is 48-81.
Bangor used a clutch at-bat from Adam Cartwright to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Lumberjacks ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Bangor manager Shawn Banks commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
