Keys Rally Late to Nip Bowsers
The Columbus Bowsers and Long Beach Keys provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Columbus Bowsers could not turn a fine performance from designated hitter Robby Parra into a win. Instead, the Long Beach Keys prevailed, 6-5, in 10 innings. Parra went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Long Beach reliever Josh DeYoe was the winner. His record is now 6-8. Joseph Piotrowski took the loss.

Long Beach used the timely hitting of Dustin Owens to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Keys on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Keys manager . "This one was nice to get."

The win has Long Beach at 47-83.
