Stars Pin 3-2 Loss on Syracuse
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Hollywood Stars and the Syracuse Scorpions, 34-year old right-handed pitcher Isaiah Robinson proved to be the difference. The Hollywood right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Stars win. Pat Eisen, who is tied for 7th in the NC in saves with 12, nailed down the save. Hollywood, at 35-39, occupies third place in the National Conference West Division.
The Stars got a big hit from third baseman Matthew Little. In the bottom of the sixth, Little smacked a 2-run home run off Syracuse pitcher Alfredo Tiscareno. It was his 17th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Stars were ahead, 3-2.
Hollywood manager Alex Aguilera praised his team's "energy."
