Solis goes 3-for-4 to Ignite Tropics Offense
The White Deer Tropics finished off the Kalamazoo Comets, 9-4. Much of the credit belonged to second baseman Danny Solis. Solis was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Tropics. Marco Canas got the win, improving to 4-6. He held the Comets to 4 runs on 6 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 10 and walking 2. The last-place Comets have dropped 4 straight games.

White Deer got a big at-bat from Moultrie, Georgia native Paul Marks, who in the bottom of the second hit a 2-run double. It was his 18th double of the season and put the Tropics ahead, 4-1.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said White Deer manager Gabriel Gonzalez.
