Heroes Get Gritty, 3-2 Win
|
London wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Tom Krasner, falling to the Pueblo Heroes, 3-2. Krasner threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The winner was Jeremy Killian in relief. His record improves to 6-5. Brian Bauer took the loss. The win makes Pueblo 67-60.
Pueblo used a timely hit from Nate Cobb to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Heroes ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.
London manager Adrian Mercado said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
