The Kalamazoo Comets spoiled a good performance by Dollywood center fielder Paul Nicolopoulos, bumping off Dollywood, 8-6, at Wizards Stadium. Nicolopoulos went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3. Mike Gunter got the win, improving to 4-6. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The last-place Comets own a record of 35-91.
