Comets Squelch Bowsers Offense in Shutout Win
|
The Kalamazoo Comets got a good effort from starter Quentin Dickson in defeating the Columbus Bowsers at Ballpark of Columbus. The final score was 3-0. The Comets raised their record to 34-90.
Kalamazoo used the hitting of Nick Nicholson to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Comets on top, 3-0. For the game, Nicholson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Quentin gave us a heck of an effort," said Kalamazoo manager Sam Furfari.
