Sweepers Send Long Beach Home with 4-3 Loss
The Nashua Sweepers topped the Long Beach Keys, 4-3, in Southern A action at Miller Park. The standout performance belonged to Nashua pitcher and Caracas, Venezuela, native Oscar Lopez. Glen Foster notched his 30th save in 32 chances. The second-place Sweepers have won 4 in a row.

Freddie James, the Nashua third baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 4-3, Sweepers. For the game, James went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.

After the game, Nashua manager Steve Reid applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
